The Chiefs were denied a historic three-peat in Super Bowl LIX after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 40–22 in New Orleans thanks to the Eagles' excellent offensive play and powerful defense.

The Eagles' defense stunted Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense, resulting in a comprehensive victory.
